Every day, 10,000 colleagues across Kiers’ sites, depots and offices are working to deliver infrastructure which is vital to the UK. Kier offer a wide range of degree apprenticeship roles to kickstart a career in construction. Degree apprenticeships are the perfect mixture of earning and learning, with dedicated block weeks releasing apprentices from the day job to stay local to university and attend in person seminars and lectures. The roles are available across the UK and are all permanent positions and offer the opportunity to continue professional development once completing the apprenticeship. Construction Management BSc & Quantity Surveying BSc (Sheffield Hallam University) - 5 years to complete. Apprentices will attend 4 block weeks per year, completing 1 module per block along with assignments and work-based learning. These block weeks are in February, May, September and November. Civil Engineering BEng (Coventry University) - 5 years to complete. Apprentices will attend 6-8 block weeks across years 1-3, and all online work- based learning in years 4-5. During this time on block week, it will be based at Coventry University for the entire week. The course is organised into structured modules and is delivered through lectures, tutorials, workshops, seminar groups, site visits, laboratory sessions, and individual and group projects. Kier also offer Degree Apprenticeship programmes across multiple disciplines, including but not limited to: Building Services Design Engineering, Chartered Surveyor, Design Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, and Environmental Engineering.
