The Dyson Institute is a pioneering higher education model, combining rigorous academic programmes with hands-on work on future Dyson products. The Dyson Institute is creating talented engineers and future leaders who are making significant contributions to Dyson’s technologies and culture. Dyson’s four-year MEng Engineering International employer-sponsored degree programme combines rigorous academic learning with project work on next- generation Dyson technology and a 12-month international experience in Dyson’s Asia offices. As a first-year Undergraduate Engineer, participants live on site at the UK campus in Malmesbury and join a small close-knit student cohort as part of a wider community of 3,000 Dyson people. Bespoke on-campus facilities and a range of clubs and societies create a truly welcoming and supportive environment. The first two years focus on a rigorous and challenging general engineering syllabus across mechanical engineering, electronics and electrical engineering, electromechanical engineering and software engineering. Alongside study, three workplace rotations in Dyson Research and Development teams helps particpants consolidate learning and apply engineering fundamentals to real-world problems. In year three, Undergraduate Engineers complete a 12-month placement in Asia, gaining experience across the full product lifecycle and developing a global engineering perspective. In the final year, they return to the UK to choose elective modules and complete a Final Year Project on a real-world engineering challenge, developing advanced skills in research, analysis and problem solving. Join a programme that equips participants with a degree, a global perspective and the skills to lead an accelerated international career at Dyson.
