IBM is a technology and consulting company, operating in over 170 countries helping organisations transform their businesses with innovative solutions and expertise: improving businesses, society and the human condition. Their employees, IBMers, provide a new outlook on the world and its emerging tech. IBM offers Digital and Technology Solutions degree apprenticeships, Junior Management Consultant apprenticeships and Scottish graduate apprenticeships in Software Development and IT Management. Degree apprentices work in Consulting, Technology or Labs. They work for clients, gaining experience of new technologies, hybrid cloud and AI. Apprentices spend 20% of their time on university study. Apprentices have a 2-week induction and multiple learning opportunities, including an online platform, certifications, digital badges and education to prepare for working with clients. They are supported by a dedicated career manager in IBM’s Foundation organisation. IBM’s apprentice programme is award winning and IBM is an OFSTED outstanding Employer Provider. IBM apprentices have received recognition at the Target Jobs Awards, National Apprenticeship Awards and British Computing Society Apprentice Awards. IBM has a thriving apprentice community, providing events, advice and networking. Apprentices are involved in communities for early professionals, such as a GenAI community, a well-being community, a UNITE community working with clients and a technical community. Apprentices can join a Sustainability Community and Business Resource Groups (including for People with Diverse Abilities).
